Dr. Hyo S. Ji, M.D., grew up in Nimitz Hill, Piti, but left Guam to further his education before eventually joining the U.S. Peace Corp in 1996. From there, community service and science became the primary impetuses that motivated him to pursue a career in medicine.
After finishing his Pain Management Fellowship at the State University of New York at Buffalo, he returned to Guam and started his Interventional Pain Management practice in August of 2021. From there, he continued to help patients improve their quality of life by treating and decreasing their overall pain syndromes through a comprehensive approach.
When it comes to his patients, patient quality of life is a major factor for Dr. Ji. His goal is to assist and alleviate pain while empowering you to make better health choices. He finds it useful to combine different modalities for the very best results. Taking your individual pain and disabilities into account, Dr. Ji uses a multidisciplinary approach when making treatment plans, and may also consult on your current pain medication regime, depending on your pain source and the appropriate analgesics.
